Group Buy-Ins

New this year.  We are offering experiences for a set price per person.  These experiences are capped at the number of people that can participate.  First come, first served.

  1. “Da Vinci, Donatello and Dietzenbach!” Come learn to paint with Father Alan Dietzenbach. This event will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 2-4pm at the Pusillo Barn. Participants will paint a Christmas scene to decorate their home for the holidays. Enjoy Mulled Wine and good fellowship with this unique experience. There are only 16 spots available. Participation is $45/person which includes all supplies! Sponsored by: Father Alan Dietzenbach and Gary & Marybeth Pusillo
  2. “Chopped Jr. in Marshalltown” 6th through 8th graders will form their own teams of 2-3 to complete for the top chef title in Marshalltown! Friday, January 11th from 4-7pm. Area youth will put their culinary skills to the test in St. Henry’s kitchen by using pre-determined ingredients to make the best dishes. Participation is $50 per child and covers all supplies. Spots are only available for 6 teams, so pull your group together and start practicing your cooking skills! Sponsored by: Parish Youth Ministers, Bethany Jablonski and Alissa Herrick
  3. “Donated Responsibly” Designated Driver ride services are available to and from Harvest Ball. A $10/person or $20/couple donation will provide round-trip transportation to and from the Harvest Ball, allowing you to celebrate responsibly. All profits go to the school and you will be billed for the service at auction check-out.   4. “Marshalltown Progressive Dinner” – This local culinary event will be held on Saturday, December 8th and allows you a Taste of Marshalltown!  Participants will start at 5:30 pm at the Iowa River Brewing Company with a tasting of local beer and spirits. The main course will be held at The Pitch Fork in Laurel, the area’s newest farm to table restaurant, available by group appointment only!  The night will conclude at the Tremont on Main for dessert at 8 pm. This is an exclusive event for up to 10 people at a cost of $80 per person. Grab your group and sign up fast before this fills up! Sponsored by Stover Controls, Iowa River Brewing, and the Tremont.
  5. “Mom Strong Freezer Meals” This event helps participants prep seven different delicious freezer meals that can be thawed and baked or put in the crock pot. People who sign up can enjoy the company of other busy moms, share a bottle of wine, and whip up 7 nights worth of meals, enough to feed a family of six! The prep class will be held on Sunday, January 13th from 2-5pm at a cost of $200 per participant. This price includes all supplies and groceries for delicious meals that cost less than $5 per serving. Up to 20 participants. Sponsored by Carrie Seberger, pork provided by Limestone Station, groceries provided by Hy-Vee, and chicken provided by Fareway.
  6. Come visit “The Holy Rail” at Harvest Ball!  Get your wine, beer, and spirits all in one place. Participants pay the $20 donation and pick a number at random that corresponds to a bottle of their favorite libation. This alcohol grab is perfect for your holiday needs, so come prepared. *note: Alcohol is not to be consumed on site, and will given at check-out.
  7. Murder Mystery  You are invited invited to be shot, hung or stabbed (not really) at an evening full of fun, food and fright (mostly fun and food)!  Scott and Mary Swift will host a Murder Mystery party at their home (2468 330th St., Laurel) on Saturday, January 26, 2019, for up to 30 people.  The Swift’s will provide all of the food and beverages (yes, adult beverages), invitations, weapons, provisions and alibis needed for anunforgettable, adults-only, fun night with friends! (No play acting required.)  Although the “buy-in” price is $60/person, the experience is Priceless!
