Penny Bermudez

My name is Penny Bermudez. It is my desire to fulfill my responsibility to serve Christ and his church through seeking nomination for the St. Francis School Board. I am currently the Administrator of the Iowa Veterans Home, in Marshalltown. I also am appointed by the governor to serve on the Dependent Adult Advisory Council. I have held a leadership position in State Government for 28 years. I serve on the Ethics Committee, the Executive Budget Committee, the Executive Leadership Strategic Planning Committee and Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement Committee. I believe that my experience in leadership could provide strength to the school board. I am a new convert to the Catholic Church. My grandchildren are privileged to attend St. Francis School and my family is blessed to attend St. Francis Church. I have been led to faithfully pray for Mr. Eisenbarth, our priests, our teachers, and our students during the last three years. It would be an honor to serve with other board members to provide support and guidance to our school as we strive for academic excellence, spiritual strength and depth, and diversity.
